Before training as a counsellor, I spent over 20 years in marketing communications, working closely with high-net-worth, well-travelled, and international clients. That cross-cultural exposure shaped how I show up with clients today: I move naturally across different backgrounds and communication styles, and I’ve learned to listen for what’s underneath the words, not just what’s said. I also bring a strong foundation from coaching, where I developed skills in active listening and in recognising the patterns that quietly keep people stuck.
My approach as a counsellor is integrative. I draw on evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), alongside a strong mind-body and mindfulness lens, because I believe the body often holds onto stress and emotion long before the mind catches up.
Whether you’re navigating a big life transition, working through grief, or just feeling overwhelmed and not sure why, I’ll walk alongside you in that process. My hope is that, over time, you’ll feel steadier, more understood, and more connected to what matters to you.
If you’re thinking about counselling, that’s already a meaningful first step — and I’d be glad to be part of it.
