Hi! I’m Pragati, a Counsellor currently based in Singapore. I recently completed my Masters in Counselling from Monash University and having spent the past 5 years working in the public and private space with children, adolescents and adults, I believe in a client-centered, humanistic approach to therapy. What drives me as a counsellor is simple – I believe in empowering my clients to create positive, meaningful change in their lives. Recognising the importance of culture and environment, I look at a client’s age, generation, sexual orientation, gender, race, religion and nationality among others throughout therapy, to develop a culturally sensitive therapeutic alliance. Along with this, I believe therapy is a two-way street and the alliance formed has to be safe, open and welcoming. Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as Mindfulness, I aim to tailor the therapeutic approach with each client, figuring out what works the best for them. Given the opportunity, I would love to embark on this journey with you.
