I am also pursuing my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, where I continue to improve my professionalism, involving in research studies so I can help our clients better. Additionally, I am an ACTA-certified trainer and assessor where I enjoy conducting workshops and training bringing people together to learn new things, improving lives!

My passions encompass art and play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Gestalt therapy among others. I have experience working with clients facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, struggle with weight,  grief, trauma, and unresolved childhood wounds, as well as those with special needs and gaming addictions.  I also facilitate dispute resolution and offer stress management techniques such as mindfulness, journalling.

As a special needs educator and a parent with special needs child, I am very passionate in helping those with special needs as well as their caregivers, parents overcoming their struggles.
I can converse comfortably with clients in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien and Hakka.

Dena is one of the kindest humans I’ve encountered. When I was going through a dark and difficult period, struggling even with daily tasks, she went above and beyond — offering extra time, presence, and patience that I will never forget.

She supported me with deep empathy, practical guidance, and a steady, non-judgmental presence. Whether it was through thoughtful conversations, insightful articles, or carefully chosen video analogies, Dena didn’t just comfort me — she empowered me. Instead of simply offering reassurance, she gave me tools and resources to help me regain clarity and take steps forward on my own terms.

What stood out most was her genuine care and calm strength. It wasn’t just counselling; it felt like a steady light in a storm.

I will always be thankful for her support — not just as a professional, but as a deeply compassionate human being.
