Sharifah Diana, a clinical psychologist at A Kind Place (AKP).

Hi, I’m Diana — a Clinical Psychologist passionate about supporting people through life’s challenges, whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, sexual health and wellbeing, negative thoughts and low self-esteem, or the ups and downs of parenting, including postpartum anxiety and depression. My approach blends evidence-based methods such as Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centred Therapy, tailored to the pace and needs of every individual I work with. I also often use an intergenerational lens to help clients understand how family patterns and cultural narratives shape who they are today. My clinical experience spans across hospital, corporate, and community mental health settings, working with adults navigating emotional and relational challenges.

I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where every client can heal and grow, regardless of background, age, gender, or sexual orientation. My role is to walk alongside you with warmth, curiosity, and compassion as you explore both the struggles and the possibilities in your life. Therapy, to me, is not only about easing symptoms but also about building resilience, breaking unhelpful cycles, and moving toward deeper self-understanding and more meaningful connections.

Beyond the therapy room, I care deeply about mental health advocacy and systemic change. This includes improving policies that protect clients and service providers, increasing accessibility to care, building literacy through education, ensuring quality standards through regulation, and expanding opportunities for supervision and professional development. Outside of work, I enjoy journaling, arts and crafts, discovering new cafes, exploring new hobbies, and having meaningful conversations with loved ones — practices that keep me grounded and connected.

No matter where you are right now, know that you don’t have to go through it alone — I would be honoured and excited to walk with you on your journey toward healing and growth.
